Leave No One Behind

The walk back from the castle was miserable, the rain became colder as morning drew nearer. Arriving at the Vistani Camp, thing appeared normal until the group drew closer they could see the damage casused by Strahd. The Vistani camp was still, empty save for a few motionless bodies, among the the glass blower who had worked only ten small flasks for Victor's sling. The dusk elves were not so lucky, most of their home ruined, ceilings blow out through the hill they were built into, doors askew in their frame and body parts scattered everywhere. After a searching the ravished area only one survivor was found, Kasmir. Searching the camp for anything valuable turned up only a four of the twenty-something horses and the treasure the Vistani had collected; worth very little here in Barovia. Hitching up two wagons, the party left sleepless, to Argynvostholt.

As the dragons head was sealed into it's tomb, a powerful force, the spirit of Argynvost himself, shone unto the sky in a raw display of the dragon's might. A beacon of joy and hope for the hopeless, but a disconcerting blow to those who taint this land.

Returning the the Audience Hall to speak again with Vlad, the group finds his lifeless body, still grasping his greatsword; his soul having been free from its body, avenging Argynvost and leaving the Silver Order in another's hands. After sleeping, Sir Godfrey and four more revenants joined the party to travel to get back the magical stone for The Wizard of Wines Winery.

Avoiding a large pack of wolves the caravan made its way down the deteriorating road to Berez where they met the former burgermaster who shared the fate of he and his daughter with the party. Outside caged ravens squawked outside a small hut built on a large tree stump. Upon entering the hut, Victor was assaulted my the powerful old crone Baba Lysaga. Trying to scare him off had the opposite effect, Victor raised his mace and caused the witch to fear him!

Outside, as Theos moved forward to free the ravens, the stump began to pull its roots out of the ground lashing at him and Alar. The warlock besieged the now mobile home with beams of crackling energy infused with necrotic magics as he moved to what he thought was a safe distance. The hut launched a siege attack on Alar killing him with a boulder while Theos jumped inside and Victor chased the crone running from him in fear.

Theos found the gem inside of the hut and came out to help Victor finish off the fleeing hag. After Fatima had helped administer healing to Alar, he dispelled the ward on the chest inside the hut and plundered her treasures.

There and back, a den

Making their way to the Amber Temple, our intrepid heroes encounter even more werewolves, where do they all come from? As the mountain trail gets steeper and steeper the group comes a black wall of stonelined with spikes and toped with two demonic looking statues, Tsolenka Pass. As they approach the gatehouse the old iron portcullis wearily raises on its own leaving the way but blocked by a wall of green flame past the arched gateway. Kalista's dispel fails to remove the magical barrier and so it is deiced to climb the wall. As they embark on the climb the statues come to life, their feathery wings beating slowly bringing their four bird like claws toward the players. Jumping off the wall, the party engages the vrocks and dispatches them without assistance from their followers. After combat, and another failed dispel cast from Kalista, the party asks Sir Godfrey to dispel the green flame wall. Flame wall dispelled the party sets up camp in between the two portcullises.

...

After waking, the group meet the greatest mage there is , Froth and welcoms him to Barovia. They see a raven fly over and are greeted at the eastern gate by Davian Martikov. He warns them that the temple is a dangerous place and tells the party that the ravens cannot help them inside the temple. The party thanks him for his warning and watches as he turns into a raven and flies away. consulting the Icon of Ravenloft they decide against continuing toward the temple.

The adventurers made their way toward the abandoned tower on the lake to meet the carnival ringmaster, Rictavio, only to find out that all along he has been only masquerading as a ringmaster. Much to their surprise he is none other than the famed monster hunter, Rudolph van Richten. After peppering him with the usual questions the characters get advice on dealing vampires late into the night.

The next day the party goes off to track the werewolves that have been hunting them, quickly discovering that their lair is near! Trying to reason with the proves fruitless and an alarm is sounded and the scene dissolves into chaos. Quickly dispatching the two in front more come from each side of the split tunnel, Kalista nukes a group of 8 wolves with fireball and the others are taken down by the others, with Froth proving his claim to being a great mage. The cave is explored and there are children found in the back, Kiril, the pack's leader, makes children stolen from the local town fight to the death and the winner is bitten and changed into a werewolf. There is one winner among the children; he is taken to The Wizard of Wines to stay with the Martikovs, while the others are taken back to Vallaki.

'dem Bones

After an uneasy nights rest at the new rest area; the Vistani camp west of Vallaki, the party woke to the beating of the continuing storm. The storm had gotten worse and combined with the fog, limited visibility for the trip south. Beginning their journey to Argynvostholt, leaving Ireena to remain at the camp, the group began to slog through the rain and onto the muddy trail leading to their destination. After scaring off a pack of wolves, a figure came down the road, a decayed woman with shrunken skin. Curious of their intentions she lowered her sword and spoke with the group.

An overdue visit with Madame Eva

After staying the night in the Vistani camp outside of the town of Vallaki the party traveled to see the seer Madame Eva. Along the way they were ambushed by five werewolves and five wolves who possessed four pages from Ezmerelda's Journal. One Two Three Four

Upon reaching the Vistani Camp they went straight to Madame Eva who requested everyone be present for the reading.
