Leave No One Behind

The walk back from the castle was miserable, the rain became colder as morning drew nearer. Arriving at the Vistani Camp, thing appeared normal until the group drew closer they could see the damage casused by Strahd. The Vistani camp was still, empty save for a few motionless bodies, among the the glass blower who had worked only ten small flasks for Victor's sling. The dusk elves were not so lucky, most of their home ruined, ceilings blow out through the hill they were built into, doors askew in their frame and body parts scattered everywhere. After a searching the ravished area only one survivor was found, Kasmir. Searching the camp for anything valuable turned up only a four of the twenty-something horses and the treasure the Vistani had collected; worth very little here in Barovia. Hitching up two wagons, the party left sleepless, to Argynvostholt.

As the dragons head was sealed into it's tomb, a powerful force, the spirit of Argynvost himself, shone unto the sky in a raw display of the dragon's might. A beacon of joy and hope for the hopeless, but a disconcerting blow to those who taint this land.

Returning the the Audience Hall to speak again with Vlad, the group finds his lifeless body, still grasping his greatsword; his soul having been free from its body, avenging Argynvost and leaving the Silver Order in another's hands. After sleeping, Sir Godfrey and four more revenants joined the party to travel to get back the magical stone for The Wizard of Wines Winery.

Avoiding a large pack of wolves the caravan made its way down the deteriorating road to Berez where they met the former burgermaster who shared the fate of he and his daughter with the party. Outside caged ravens squawked outside a small hut built on a large tree stump. Upon entering the hut, Victor was assaulted my the powerful old crone Baba Lysaga. Trying to scare him off had the opposite effect, Victor raised his mace and caused the witch to fear him!

Outside, as Theos moved forward to free the ravens, the stump began to pull its roots out of the ground lashing at him and Alar. The warlock besieged the now mobile home with beams of crackling energy infused with necrotic magics as he moved to what he thought was a safe distance. The hut launched a siege attack on Alar killing him with a boulder while Theos jumped inside and Victor chased the crone running from him in fear.

Theos found the gem inside of the hut and came out to help Victor finish off the fleeing hag. After Fatima had helped administer healing to Alar, he dispelled the ward on the chest inside the hut and plundered her treasures.
